The House is now taking a roll call vote on the Donohue amendment.  It resembles the Galbraith/Hartwell/Cummings amendment passed by the senate in exempting from prosecution doctors whose patients discuss suicide with them and then use medicine prescribed for the relief of symptoms to commit suicide as well as individuals who are with the patients when they take a lethal overdose.

The amendment is defeated
