Call Your Representatives Today (Friday) to say No to S.77

The fight is NOT over yet. And vigilance can possibly make the difference!

Try to get everyone you know to call the state house today as soon as possible, as we don't know when the vote may be.  To find your representatives: http://www.leg.state.vt.us/legdir/FindMyMember.cfm

Call the Sergeant-at-Arms office at 828-2228 to leave a message for your Representative(s). You will need to give the name(s) of your Representative(s), your name, town, and phone number, and the message “Please vote NO on S.77” Even if you have contacted your Representative(s) before, please do so again. It may be difficult to get through, but keep trying.  

Perseverance can pay off, but only if we can mobilize enough opposition.  The current bill is a farce of a compromise, with no one on either side really believing the compromise is more than a political ploy.

Rep. Anne Donahue, R-Northfield, who pushed hard to stop the House version from passing, echoed Sears’ skepticism. “Obviously, that’s just going to be removed before the three years is up. I don’t know what bone that was… but it was a pretty transparent bone.”
