Senate just released for a caucus due to a new surprise amendment.
The new amendment appears to bring back most of the original wording. A point of order was brought by Senator Sears asking if the new amendment was asking the senate to deal with a matter twice.
After a brief recess for Lt. Gov. Phil Scott to decide, the senate was reconvened and Phil Scott overruled the point of order say that the bill was significantly different enough.
Upon which a senator suggested the current caucus and recess.
This appears to be the same bad bill which was rejected with only minor changes.
More soon.
